Combination Movie Mindspace

So the thing where I thought two movies were actually one movie was debunked again recently. Having recently watched The Big Lebowski and having taken a couple nights to actually process what the hell it was I watched, I realized that I had it confused with another movie apparently named Kingpin. Particularly in that movie there’s the presence of a character who has his hand shredded and replaced with a prosthetic, and someone, not sure if it’s the same person, who bowled with a glass ball that had either a rose or a hand in it. Pretty sure it was a rose. I’m just going off vague stuff I saw on TV a long time ago in childhood. But none of that is in The Big Lebowski.

Whatever it is that’s causing me to combine movies like this in a way that somehow melds together into an imaginary movie that could be potentially decent if done right, I don’t know. But this did also happen with Logan’s Run and Soylent Green. I eventually saw both movies, but before I figured out they were separate movies, which was some time before I actually saw the movies, I had somehow put together that the people who were older than 30 or whatever the age was were who were being turned into Soylent Green, and Logan was running from that and stumbled on the secret.

As far as what I thought The Big Lebowski was before I saw it, I figured it was more focused on a bowling tournament and the prosthetic hand rose bowler was an antagonist of some kind who got involved with gang stuff going on behind the scenes of the tournament, and The Dude was just there to abide and give wisdom while the bowling happened. I’m honestly not sure how that would hold together aside from it being more slice-of-life I guess.

At the moment I can’t think of any other combined movies I’ve accidentally thought of, but we’ll see if that comes up again. As far as movies in general, apparently babies in microwaves are now a thing with a recent movie whose lead actor has a wild ride of a Wikipedia page. Back in the day they only put hamsters in microwaves in DOS games.
