I’ve decided to commit, I’m going to do that Art Fight thing again. I mean, it’s only been, what, five years since I last did this? I ended up just not wanting to do it the year after, and then I kinda forgot it was a thing for a while between travel and other distractions and also getting more into 3D modeling than 2D drawing for a bit, and I still am, but I could use a bit of an excuse to draw semi-random characters for semi-random people. Might as well use my tablet for more than just a second monitor when I do the rare stream.
Of course I’m likely not really getting into it until this weekend, plus on top of that I have plans for computer maintenance on that weekend, which hopefully won’t take the whole weekend to resolve but I’ve picked a long weekend as a just in case thing. Then the next weekend and a bit after there’s yet another thing going on in the evenings. See how things easily get pushed back with me? I’ll probably also want to play games sometimes. But I’m definitely drawing. I had the thing pick my team and I’m putting this post out there to be sure of it.
Also with whatever the hell’s going on with the internet these days and the push from corpos and governments for even more surveillance and locking down any possible avenue of expression they can think of, I might as well at least get this in. Plus it’s apparently the 10th anniversary of the Art Fight site. So I guess last time I was there on the 5th. But mainly I just feel like it. Then after this I’ll have to get my backlog of unposted art onto my site. In any case, my Art Fight profile is linked on my site for anyone who wants to log into that whenever their servers work.
